“Astrophotography – a walk through a most rewarding and frustrating hobby”

Talk and August Exhibit with Kevin Boucher from Aldrich Astronomical Society!

Aldrich members will give a talk discussing how astronomy pictures such as Galaxies, Nebula, and other night sky targets are taken. We will also discuss all the obstacles that need to be overcome to create these beautiful pictures. Aldrich members will also share their own personal journey in the hobby they love.

The exhibit will be available for viewing in the Wallace Community Room for the whole month of August!

The Our Cosmic Canvas exhibit includes all types of astrophotography from Nightscape composites to planetary images to Deep Sky wonders such as nebula and galaxies. All pictures taken in central Massachusetts by Aldrich Astrophotographers from mostly their backyards. Come see the amazing pictures possible today that only 50 years ago professional astronomers with the best telescopes in the world could only dream about.
