Shinrin-yoku: The benefits of and methods to practice forest bathing

Wednesday, June 296:30—7:30 PMWallace Community RoomLunenburg Public Library1023 Massachusets Ave., Lunenburg, MA, 01462

Join award-winning author Nadine Mazzola to learn about the practice of Shinrin-Yoku, a.k.a. Forest Bathing. Forest Bathing (taking in the atmosphere of the forest with all your senses) can lower anxiety and stress levels. In this time of isolation it is important that we connect with nature, each other and ourselves. Learn: how forest bathing supports well-being, health and healing; about forest bathing's Japanese origins; how forest bathing differs from a walk in the woods; forest bathing with a guide vs. on your own; how you can forest bathe with your dog.

Registration for this program is required.

Nadine is a Certified Forest Therapy Guide and author of "Forest Bathing with Your Dog." Her book brings together the deep connection we have with our dogs and nature by uniquely incorporating our dogs’ natural ways with the practice of forest bathing. Nadine’s innovative combination of forest bathing and dog-walking is a combined practice that elevates the meaning and joy of each! She is also the Director of New England Nature and Forest Therapy Consulting and a trainer and mentor for new guides with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs.
