Join us for an eclipse viewing party at the library - weather permitting! *Event could be canceled due to cloud cover, the decision will be made on the day of the event.

The library will give away ISO approved eclipse glasses for the first 100 people who register and show up by 3:00 pm. There will also be a few pinhole camera viewers and other methods you can use as safe viewing alternatives!

We will have crafting projects, coloring pages, lawn games, and snacks available for those in attendance.

Lunenburg should see a partial eclipse starting around 2:15 pm, ending around 4:35 pm.  The peak of the eclipse will be at 3:30 pm, when we reach nearly 95% totality! 

Safe viewing of the eclipse at any point is extremely important! Do NOT look directly at the sun during the eclipse!

******Registration for each pair of eclipse glasses needed is recommended to reserve your pair(s). If you are not at the Library by 3:00 pm to collect your pair, your registration is forfeit. You do not need to register to attend the Eclipse Viewing Party, but availability of eclipse glasses is not guaranteed without a registration. *****
