Week 5 Theme: Author Visit!

Come join local author Deb Davey as she shares her wonderful book A Walk in Town.  In this vibrantly illustrated picture book, a shy girl overcomes her nerves on a walk to school, meeting neighbors of diverse backgrounds along the way. During her walk she learns to appreciate her community and the people that live there. This book is great for those who appreciated "Last Stop on Market Street" by Matt de La Pina and "My Papi Has a Motorcycle," by Isabel Quintero, it celebrates cultural richness and the bonds of a neighborhood.
