Tweens & Teens Virtual Cooking Program
Thursday, May 44:30—5:30 PMZoom
Hey Tweens & Teens! Do you enjoy good food? Like to cook?
Join us as the Lunenburg Public Library hosts cooking classes with Brittany Wujek, RD LD, a Registered Dietitian with Hannaford's Supermarket! Classes will be held virtually each week at 4:30PM-5:30PM EST on Thursdays from May 4th to May 25th (there will be no class on May 11th) so you'll be able to join us from your own kitchen. Each week has its own registration, you can sign up for one, a couple, or all of them!
The theme for this cooking series is: Cooking the Rainbow! Brittany will walk us through how to prepare delicious and healthy dishes full of colorful veggies! Weekly recipes and lists of needed ingredients will be supplied by the library so that you will be prepared to fully participate in each class. You'll receive an email from Teen Librarian Susan once kits are ready to be picked up! This week we'll be making a vegetable stir-fry bowl.
This program is open to Grades 4-8 (ages 10-14). Registration is required as space is limited (registration is by household, not by number of people participating!). We recommend that there is adult supervision for this cooking class as students will be using various kitchen tools and a stove. The good news? The goal for the class is to prepare a dish for that night's dinner!
These cooking classes are provided in partnership with Lunenburg Hannaford's and sponsored in part by the Friends of the Lunenburg Public Library.
Note: This is an online event via Zoom. An invite will be sent out at least one hour before the program to the email given at registration.
Registration for this event has now closed.
