Come learn beginner weight strengthening exercises with Niki Holtzman to keep you feeling fit in this five-week Strong Women Stay Young fitness series! Strong Women Stay Young program is the foundation for the popular Bone Builders program. This scientifically proven strength-training program replaces and reverses bone loss, improves energy and balance, and improves core strength needed for remaining active and independent in our lives!
We stand and sit for this one hour class, using 1 ankle weight and two 2/4 lb hand weights. We will start with stretching and warm up to increase flexibility and range of motion, followed by weights for strengthening core muscles, arms and legs. We will finish with cool down/stretch. You will be given the program to do 1x a week at home.
Please bring 2 hand weights of 2-4 lbs and an ankle weight of 2-5 lbs.
Registration is required for the first meeting in this five class series. Classes will be held in the Library's Community Room from 4:00-5:00 pm every Tuesday from February 18th through March 18thth. Minimum number of 12 participants is required for the series to start!
