Mike Gregian will lead this 60-minute instructional and interactive program on world hand drumming techniques! The workshop will be focused on hand drumming techniques and music that traditionally uses doumbek or djembe. Learn about Balkan percussive rhythm in particular, while also exploring the various ways skinned hand drums are used in music around the world.

All participants would need a hand drum with a skin such as a doumbek, djembe, bongos, conga, or a tambourine with skin, to practice these techniques and play songs with the class. 

Registration is encouraged, but not required.
