Tweens & Teens Craft: Save the Bees
Join us over Spring Break for a “Save the Bees” craft! We'll be building homes for solitary bees to use; these differ from bumblebees in that they build single nest cells for their larvae rather than living in a hive colony. Each participant will make their own bee habitat that can be put outside to provide their local bees a safe place to live (due to pesticide use, habitat loss, and climate change, global bee populations are rapidly declining and they need our help), just make sure you pick a sunny spot for your bee habitat!
